Kitty Todd Preserve

Here's one of those beautiful fall fields at Kitty Todd Preserve.  Amazing how annoying a walk through there can become, but certainly worth it.  I saw an item the other day about counting blazing stars.  They were evaluating the effect of controlled burns on Nebraska prairie.  Looks like it works well in Ohio.  The pink/purple spikes are rough blazing-star.
