Clubmoss habitat

Here's the fan clubmoss habitat.  Clubmosses are commonly mentioned as a primitive stage of plant evolution, predating flowering plants and their seeds.  Clubmoss ancestors were around before flowers, but unlike dinosaurs and a whole bunch of other plant and animal branches of the evolutionary tree, they are still with us.  Now they get protected in some places because of over use for Christmas greens.  Fan clubmoss forms large colonies.  The underground stems can lurk around for many years before popping up with and for their fans.
