Saturday morning at Ives Preserve
This morning was a beautiful crisp autumn day, perfect for a volunteer work day at Ives Preserve. We spent the morning cutting honeysuckle and other invasives on a neighbor property. That cuts down on the number of seeds dropped on into the preserve by creatures that eat them. It also cuts down on the number of the darn things we have to look at on our way into the preserve. Before starting, I took a walk at the ponds to check for more water lettuce. Glad to report I found none. I did take this shot. Calm morning ponds are hard to resist.
