Beauty in diversity

Wildflowers aren't the only beauty in nature, by far.  Here's another old field companion of silver cinquefoil.  Mosses are also well suited for low nutrient soil.  And they certainly have their own claim to beauty and wonder.  They also help illustrate the advantages of the genetic diversity some silver cinquefoil have abandoned.  Reproducing identical offspring can have local and short term advantages.  But in the long term diversity is best.  And I keep trying not to bring up politics!
