Early meadow-rue

Here's a female plant; looks quite different.  I know we weren't going to talk about that e word any more, but what about antiemetic.  The Cherokee and Iroquois used this to treat stomach upsets (emphasis on up).  Could have used this the other day when one of us got some bad salami from a store who's whole schtick is healthy natural foods.  If it had come from any other place, the smell would have put her off, and that sandwich would never have been.  But it makes you appreciate these days of much reduced food poisoning, and what the Cherokee and Iroquois must have so often gone through.  I suspect that consuming something from the notoriously toxic buttercup family doesn't make one feel a lot better - probably just different.  Anti-irritants played a large role in herbal medicine.
