Go west?

Some more winter contrast, this time with color.  Moss on the wet west side of the tree.  Has a lot more to do with the direction of the light, but of course that's often south.  Here it was probably from the east.  And light direction of course is still the best clue for all those cat-tails frayed on the south side.  One of these days I'll have to get my big botany boy pants on, and tackle mosses.  I don't have a clue which is which.  It would be fun to know which ones we've got at the preserve.
