Snow trillium

Here's another, just beginning to show the pink blush of old trillium age on the petals. These reach four inches in height in their best efforts. And they like rocks. Mostly they grow on or near exposed limestone, or in limey soil. At Chateau Nivale, you can see them clinging to cliffs, and clustered together in crevasses. Another ability developed in the time of glaciers?
