Wild wormwood

Here's a previous shot of wild wormwood. Boring! Wormwood is in the genus with sagebrush, and has the same very sagelike aroma. Like many aromatic plants, it has been much used as medicine, in in older days as perfume and charms. The Native American Ethnobotany Database lists 39 items. The Lakota are said to have sprinkled wormwood powder on the face of a sleeping man so they could steal his horses. Fortunately, after getting up close with it, my car was still where I left it.
