Here a wider view of tall boneset. In this spot the best it does is about four feet. In the right spot it gets a little taller, maybe five feet. Is that tall? I guess it's relative. Some other Eupatoriums are more vertically challenged. One web site mentions that tall boneset often grows with Canada goldenrod in weedy areas. Certainly both this and the goldenrods seem contented in that old gravel pit. There is a lot more boneset this year than I had remembered.
