Pale spike lobelia

Here is a paler spike. Pale spike lobelia had several medicinal uses for Indians, mostly for wound care or skin issues. The image invoked by one citation is both hard to get my head around, and hard to get out of my head. According to the Native American Ethnobotany Database, the Iroquois used an infusion of these plants as an emetic for the lovelorn.
