Why close 2

Here's a closeup of a Callery pear that I've really enjoyed. The image, not the tree. This invasive individual has been killed. But it's stamens, on this particular day, were a terrific lesson in rose family detail. Most (maybe all?) rose stamens are neatly coiled up in bud. As the flowers open, they begin to unfurl. This is that moment. So closeups can capture that kind of detail. Detail that many of us just don't notice. This was my first lesson about that, which is probably why I like this shot.
