Like the wintergreen from the other day, this could have been a simple shot of nothing but the Japanese knotweed. It would have been a pretty good shot of a flower that doesn't often get a close look. Those branched pistils would have gained your attention all by themselves. So do the crab spider and its prey add to or detract from the image? Is it a picture of a flower, or of a spider? In this case, I'm glad for both, particularly with the clever camo. Crab spiders are common fellow travelers in the search for flower images.
