This whorled pogonia is a really interesting wild orchid. One that makes me really regret not having done a better job cleaning up the background. There really wasn't any way I was going to get one of those monochromatic backdrops, but I could have moved a few twigs and angled more toward the moss. Next time I'm there I need to have something with me to serve as a background that won't be the same color as the flower. Then I can get right down in the bog and shoot sideways or a little up. All that adds up to, don't clutter up the background!
