Summer grapes
I read once that Old World wine was bad stuff before New World grapes became available. If so, summer grapes played a role. In my experience, they are not tasty, but apparently that is not always true. Horticultural varieties and hybrids now play a role in wine making. That role is limited because they cannot be easily propagated from cuttings like other grapes. The name implies early fruiting, but this image is from October.
