The ancients often imagined spirits inhabiting parts of the world around them. How much have we changed? What kind of sense does it make to feel the spirit of flowers? It seems to just happen for me. It's a complex interaction between the flowers and my psyche that ends with, "Yes, this is what hairy willowherb is all about!" And then it adds to the moment if you discover you're not alone. The old English name for this is coddlins-and-cream. Were they seeing and feeling the same? I like to think this straight forward shot captures some of that.
