Nodding trillium, Trillium flexipes

This is a large-flowered nodding trillium, but things didn't go as planned. The leaves were extra wide and overlapping. It appeared like this prevented the flower from nodding below them, as it typically would. Whipple Preserve seemed to have a lot of variations, but then it had a lot of flowers.
