Here you see the patch effect of pussytoes. These stems probably all come from one plant. We've been treated to pussytoes the last two days because I realized I didn't have digital images of these two species. I went back to places I collected them; Canadian in 1998, and field in 1986. How great to be able to quickly look that up on the Michigan Flora website! They were both still growing in those same places. Both are in mowed areas so anything could have happened. Field pussytoes was originally at the same site as Canadian, and I found none there this time.
