I was updating myself with the updated list of protected plants in Michigan, and came to Leucospora. Realizing it was one I didn't know anything about, I looked it up. Aha! That spot I got lost in in Wayne County was prime territory. And it is now enough later that they should be up and out. Back there yesterday, I found them immediately. Much much smaller than I expected. Some, like this one, flowering at only a little over an inch high. The flowers were so small I couldn't get a good idea what I was seeing with my naked eye. But there I was, back on the ground again, this time with the ANG flying over. Not hard to tell which way was north toward the airport. With their help and a satellite map, no getting lost this time. A very successful trip we will share over the next few days.
