There was an inquiry yesterday asking how I got the 'sparkles' on the flowers. Those are natural, and it's not hard to get the right lighting to show them. They are intended for exactly that purpose. The texture of the petals reflects light in an array of directions, making the flowers bright and easily visible from a range of angles. Good for pollination! You can also see tiny hairs with glistening dots on the ends. Those serve the same purpose. This is a more closely cropped image from yesterday's shot of yellow ladies'-tresses.
