Tuesday I was treated to tours of three terrific private gardens in Ann Arbor. Wow! They all have spectacular collections, and particularly like stuff that grows on rocks. What better way to make your Michigan garden stand out, than to truck in some big piles of big rocks. That's dedicated gardening. The three gardeners share an interest in plants from temperate east Asia. Fascinating stuff! There's also plenty of other selections, including this trillium. I had already posted a trillium image for that day, and this is coincidentally the same species, mottled trillium. Thanks to Don, Zach, and particularly Tony, my tour guide.
