The effort to import plants at Ives Preserve has become elaborate enough to now be exporting seed. There are seed beds, and a shed where harvested seed can be separated from the chaff, dried, and stored. The seed is used at Ives and other preserves in the area. Tall blazing star is one of the flowers planted in those beds, and now grows sparingly in one of the planted prairies. Perhaps we haven't got exactly the right formula for it.
