Redundant, I know. But I couldn't think of another way to lead into a little family history. The Kiefers (paternal grandma's maiden name) go back to the Huguenot people of France. In the 1400s they left for Germany, then England, then to New England, Pennsylvania, Ohio (became Smiths), then had a family diaspora. Parsley and all the rest of European culture came along. Now my new branches of the tree are researching, and it does get fascinating. Hope they find out more about Wilson Wilsson Wilsone! Who names their kid something like that? Amazing geneological resources on the web. As easy as looking up stuff about plants!
